Elise is the best ever!

All of the staff at Gorman medical from Fran and Dr. Ripp down to the front desk staff and all of the pa’s and nurses do a very good job of paying attention to you and helping facilitate your life with as little pain as possible. I have been going to Gorman medical for over 9 years now, and despite the fact that it took us a great deal of time to be able to figure out what the correct diagnosis for my combinations of symptoms were, at no point in time do I feel as if any of them did not believe I was experiencing what I was going through. As a medical zebra that is very rare. Once we did know exactly what was going on with me, they worked with me to build a plan of care that would help me live the best life possible and have gone toe-to-toe with insurance even to help convince them that I need the care I need. I am certain if it were not for the providers at Gorman medical, especially Fran Gorman and Dr. Ripp. I would likely be bedridden 90% of the time. Instead, I am cared for and my pain is managed so that I can participate in some of the things that make my heart sing. I highly recommend this practice for your pain management, especially if you are a medical zebra!

Jennie Barker is a fantastic medical agent. She has been able to assist me with my pain and nerve issues. For instance, the spring time is problematic for me as it upset my nerves more than other times of the year. This year in particular, is the most notable change as my pain issues feel unbearable at times. Jennie has been hard at work to find a resolution to bring my pain levels down. I really love working with Fran Gorman, and appreciate her knowledge, expertise and compassion. However, I find it challenging to make contact with the office staff. My phone messages aren’t returned, and I feel like I have to be the squeaky wheel to get them to get anything done. I know that when a practitioner throws her heart into her practice, she will spend time whatever time is needed with each patient, which is a blessing. However, it seems that the ones who manage the schedule would have a better idea of how the time needs to be allotted, so that things don’t get so backed up. I had to wait an hour and a half to be seen. This is a HUGE drain on my already limited energy resources. You may not know that to look at me, but you don’t see the crash afterwards, and the increase of pain that has to be dealt with due to the stress on my system. Please consider better time management and patient communication. Thank you.

I ran out of medication and was told that I cannot receive renewals until I see the doctor. I was unable to schedule an appointment due to my being out of state. They told me they would call me back with options to get my prescriptions filled and never returned my call. I left several messages with no response. This doctor’s office made no attempt to help in my situation. I will never go back and will spread the word that their customer service is horrible and they do not care about patient health at all.

I have searched for the correct fit in a provider for myself, for quite some time. Covid really made things crazy in the medical community. I first contacted Gorman Medical needing a pain provider. When i met with Jennie i was highly impressed. Trust me, I am not one who is easily impressed. When we first met and i learned of her qualifications it was a no brainer for me to try her out as my main Healthcare Provider. It was a great decision! I felt as though I hit the lottery with Jennie Barker! She is someone who is genuine in every aspect. She cares. She is very knowledgeable and acts quickly to address my particular needs. It's all because she LISTENS. Whether its x-rays, medication, or a specialist she knows who and where to send you for your specific issue. In this new frontier (AC, after covid,) I found it difficult to get an appointment in person with my old provider, PV. Simultaneously a bunch of folks quit where i had gone for many years leaving me without a trusted medical provider. When i did finally "see" someone months later, it was only a virtual appointment. That doesn't always cut it. Also there is a set time allowed by places for your visit. It seemed like they set a 15 minute timer and it was over, whether I was finished or not. It began feeling like we were just a heard of cattle being pushed through rather than individuals. As a new patient there was much to discuss as a 66 year old. New health issues as you age, etc. I can't say enough good about them after 4 visits and the subsequent tests/referrals to the appropriate places etc. Another bonus is that I dont feel like i need to bring camping gear to wait to be seen! They have consideration in their scheduling too. I have not had to wait over 10-15 minuters to be seen. My impression is that the various providers I have spoken to within the group are equally knowledgeable and they all actually listen! That's the single most important thing as far as i am concerned. A very solid 5 stars.

Fran is amazing! Above and beyond any doctor that I've seen. My daughter had to come home from college in February with neurological issues - memory and speech. No one helped us. Neurologists did all the testing they could. Fran is an expert in Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and other auto immune disorders. She spent several hours with my daughter, took vials of blood for testing and genetic testing. She knew that my daughter was possibly suffering from CCI and sent her for an upright MRI which showed she does have CCI and tested her for EDS, which I have as well. We now know where her symptoms are coming from. She listens, takes her time with patients, has MANY valuable resources to include other specialists to see. The nursing hours from 8am-1pm are valuable as well! The staff at Gorman Medical are very helpful and nice. I'm so glad that my friend recommended Fran, because she provided the answers that we needed when no other doctors could!

I've been with Fran Gorman's care for several years now. Recently, I moved to another city, and have utilized telemed calls which are great. Sometimes I do wait a lengthy amount of time, yet that can occur with any clinic, as staff are assisting other people in need too (she really cares!), with mostly, Fran Gorman being fairly prompt. She takes as much time, respect, and care with me as the patient previously. Mrs. Gorman and her staff have assisted in the discovery of several diagnoses of both genetic and autoimmune diseases regarding my health issues. This has led to better treatment and maintenance/balance in my life. She's been very supportive of my health as well as respecting that it's my body, mind, and spirit and that I take a more proactive approach. I still drive to the clinic on occasion and Fran and her staff (amazing!) are so worth it!

I feel fortunate to have Jennie as a nurse, friend, and family practitioner. She took her time to get to know me and figure out the best way to help me. She is coming to my home to take a blood test, which is very helpful. She always has time to listen to my concerns. I would never go back to the traditional family doctor. Easygoing, understanding, and caring. For her, it is not only the 9-5 job. I was never treated by healthcare professionals as well as Jennie treated me. This world needs more people like Jennie.

I just moved to Colorado Springs and the first Dr's group I tried was an absolute nightmare and by the time the Gorman group was recommended to me, I was in pretty bad shape. I was desperate when I called the first time, and the front desk staff, without any judging or bickering, found a way to get me in the next day, first thing in the morning. Once there, the front desk staff was knowledgeable and kind. The nurses and Physician assistant were funny while still being perfectly professional and made the pre check process quick, but then asked if there was anything else I wanted to mention or if I had any questions. The perfect combination of quick without feeling rushed. The Dr came in less than a minute later and was very comforting and genuine. After looking at my history, he never for a moment made me feel as if he was questioning the authenticity of my pain. There is nothing worse than being in severe pain and your Dr standing there trying to make you feel like a bad person or a criminal. There was none of that with Dr Ripp. He genuinely listened and even offered to slightly adjust my medication on my first visit. Nothing dramatic, but I'm already noticing a change for the better and it's only been a day. My last long term Dr was also very good, and I've been dreading trying to find a new one. Now, I'm actually looking forward to speaking with Dr Ripp again next month. Easily worth 5 stars.

Really appreciate this office and Dr . Ambyr. We got an appointment quickly and Dr Ambyr was great with the kids. Listened to the adults and looked at the kids to make the best diagnosis.

Sharon was very easy to talk to and we got through everything I needed to in an efficient manner.

Fran Gorman, DNP has been my caregiver for several years, She has skillfully guided me through the difficult journey of PTDS from my military service and has also helped me maintain my physical well being and the sometimes very difficult management of medications including pain management. Fran is also former Air Force which means allot to me because she knows first hand the tribulations of Military service. at the age of 56 I had a major Ischemic multi-focal Stroke, this has been a very difficult journey but Fran again has guided me skillfully. I cannot overstate the appreciation I have to Fran and her highly skilled medical staff. Gorman Medical is the most professional care I've had and will continue to stay with through this sometimes very difficult journey called life.

Sandra is always careful and thoughtful every appointment. I never feel rushed and leave feeling my health is in great hands.

Sharon is fantastic! She and the team at Gorman are experts in Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. She has helped me find other specialists who understand EDS as well, to help me get the best care I've ever had. Including obgyn, physical therapy, neuro surgery, anesthesia for injections, special imaging, immunology & allergy, etc. All but 1 has been local to COS, which is great! Not only is the clinic easy to schedule with, but Sharon is so compassionate and genuinely care about patients, and new research coming out about connective tissue disorders and all the comorbidites that come along with EDS. Gorman is genuinely leading the way for EDS patients to get the care we so desperately need.

All of the staff were very friendly and professional. Elise was very knowledgeable and took the time to review my history and see what would be best for me. I especially like the fact that their paperwork explains exactly what they do there and what they won’t do and it shows me that they take medication management very seriously and they will do what is best for the patient.

The staff at Gorman medical has treated me wonderfully since I began seeing them. Many health issues have been treated and some resolved with their knowledge and experience. I am so thankful that I was sent their way.

Dr. Rip is very thermal, he is smart, he takes his time and is very knowledgeable in many areas, he always gets me in fast and gets me taken care of to perfection. Also the staff is just as amazing. The nurses are great and Nate at the front desk is amazing! He truly goes above and beyond! I would be so lost without Dr. Rip. I can not go into my keesinak issues but every issue he treats to perfection! Amazing doctor and amazing staff

Dr. Gorman is one of the best doctors I've ever had in my life. She takes the time to talk to her patients, and pretty much takes care of their every need. She is very friendly and has an excellent bedside manner. I would recommend anyone with chronic pain to go see her because she definitely will do her best to make their life more comfortable.

Last time i was there i it did go well. The girl that starred my IV missed 3 times and never did get it had ti have a male there do it. Was left way too long. When the time came to remove it blood when spraying everywhere. This time the same male that had to do it last time did it perfectly was very attentive and did a perfect job. Was very genuine.
